Activities That Your Newborn Baby Could Do
When your baby is born, he or she who is a week of age is ready to go exploring what the world is like. Babies are always curious with the noises that they hear, different things that they see, or faces or toys that they can get their hands on. Newborn babies are still getting used to their environment around them; you should watch your toddler give signs of stimulation. If the he or she cries then it is your duty to keep him or her calm and smiling again. Make use of most of your time with your newborn. You can play with the baby, rock your newborn to sleep and bathe him or her in warm water to keep him or her clean and happy. When the baby reaches 3 months of age, you can find some other activities to have fun with your toddler.
Babies love music, so try to teach him or her to dance. Find a music that your newborn likes and play the music so that he or she could enjoy the sound. Hold the baby's arms and put his or her feet on your lap then let him or her try jumping or wave his or her hips to the music. You could try swaying your baby, move around and do dips. Don't make it perfect, the baby's like what they are doing so give them time to dance.
When you and your toddler are at home, you can try giving him or her some new things to touch and not just toys. You can give them things like spoons, vegetables and fruits; some things that your newborn doesn't see often. Just do not give the baby sharp objects though, these could injure them. You can put the baby in a baby chair and put him or her near the kitchen or dining room where the baby can see other objects that are new to him or her.
If your baby wants to play, try a pick-a-boo approach. Babies will be quite curious with this kind of baby games and will definitely enjoy it. To do this, cover your face with both of your hands, try talking and making sounds to let the baby be more curious, then open your hands and show the baby your face. This will make the baby smile and laugh; this kind of game maybe not that much for some babies but there are some babies that really enjoy this simple game.
These are some activities that your 3 month old baby could learn and try. The baby may be young but still he or she likes doing adventures and filling up his or her curiosity. When you are at home, give lots of time with your baby and try to make him laugh. Babies learn fast if they are happy all the time.
